This is more than a "JOB"

BeerBods is an online beer club and subscription service launched (in my spare time, from a shed) in September 2012. Our aim is simple - to get more people drinking better beer.

So far, so good. We've got over a thousand brilliant subscribers and have just secured some investment, setting a few crowd-funding records in the process.

We're still only just getting started though. I say "we"… until now I've had a lot of help from some very talented people, but I've been the only full time employee.

Now I'm looking for someone who wants to do the best work of their life and join me in building a very special business.

Someone with experience of launching and running things. It could be anything from businesses (and projects within them) to charities or sports teams. It could be on your own or as part of a team. You need to show us how you can take/have an idea, make a plan, bring it to life and do it justice. You need to be super organised, good with numbers and understand how to make the most of the internet. We need Doers.

A little knowledge, or a lot, around beer would be great, but it's not essential. Being able to demonstrate that you share our values is essential. You can't make that stuff up, so don't try.

Most importantly, you need to be able to take ownership of projects, pull up your sleeves and graft. On any given day you could be organising events, launching new products, liaising with suppliers, keeping our happy customers happy, packing boxes of beer, or doing our accounts.

A grand title like "Head of Operations".

A real say in how we do things as we bring some big, exciting plans to life.

Looked after. We understand that you do your best work when you're happy.

If there is a better place to learn about business, I don't know about it.

If we do well, so will you. A small percentage of our profits is shared between all staff. If you're the right person, you'll even get a small stake in the business.

A lot of brilliant beer.

This is hard work, but it's also great fun.

A big pay cheque, a company car and lots of benefits. We only spend money on things we need to. Welcome to the world of bootstrapping.

We haven't got many well-established systems and processes. There won't be any opportunity to rally against the bosses. There isn't a department to call or blame when things go wrong. If something isn't right, you'll have to fix it.

To sit back and relax. This is pretty full on.

Friday 25th April

Pershore, Worcestershire. The Woo really is a lovely part of the world.

Could be anything between £18k and £30k dependant on experience.

Send a one page letter explaining why you're interested in working with us (me), what your favourite beer is (and why), three of your favourite businesses/brands (and why), your work experience to date and salary expectations to matt (at) beerbods (dot) co (dot) uk
