Oh My Quad has been aged in Silver Oak Cabernet Barrels for four months. This ageing process adds depth and complexity, enhancing the notes of caramel and toffee, as well as bringing underlying notes of cherry. The Belgian yeast brings that characteristic funk as well as a subtle spiciness on the finish.

The Story

Founded in 2012, Wicked Weed have made a name for themselves for producing some of the wackiest, forward-thinking beers ever to come out of the US. Founder Ryan Guthy and team began experimenting with beers on their first day in the brewery, and haven’t stopped since.

They shot to fame in 2019 for breaking the Guinness world record for the largest tap takeover in history, having 177 Wicked Weed beers on tap at one location, at the same time. By their 8th birthday, they had amassed a whopping 800 different beer recipes, when it comes to experimenting with beer, you’d be hard pushed to find a brewery with more passion than Wicked Weed.

For tonight’s BeerBods Plus we have Oh My Quad, Wicked Weed’s take on a Belgian Quadrupel. Belgian quadruples are a prized beer. They take months to create and are full of rich dried fruit and toffee-like flavours. Oh My Quad has been aged in Silver Oak Cabernet Barrels for four months. This ageing process adds depth and complexity, enhancing the notes of caramel and toffee, as well as bringing underlying notes of cherry. The Belgian yeast brings that characteristic funk as well as a subtle spiciness on the finish. This is a beer to remember.
